Day 1: Legislative Advocacy Day
Tuesday, May 12: The California State Capitol
Join us for a day at the California State Capitol, where we’ll meet directly with legislators and their staff to share our perspectives. This is a valuable opportunity to talk about California SB 54 and 343 and other policy issues as they relate to flexible packaging, while helping foster thoughtful, impactful policy discussions. Advocacy training for attendees will be offered in advance. Attendance is open to FPA member companies only—we hope you’ll be part of the conversation.
Day 2: An Interactive Educational Experience
Wednesday, May 13: Interactive Exhibition, Sheraton Grand Sacramento
Step into a simulated retail environment designed to spark conversation, and meet with recyclers specifically working with flexible films and packaging. BOB’s Grocery Store walks participants through the value of flexible films within a retail environment, what can and can't be recycled, and how to identify effective messaging. This is a hands-on look at the future of circularity - touch, feel, and discuss flexible film recycling, along with the opportunities and challenges recyclers are facing in today's market.
- Expert Insights: Connect directly with plastic film recyclers and industry leaders.
- Real-World Solutions: Explore the evolution of flexible film use and sustainable recycling options.
- Hands-On Learning: Experience the tangible benefits of flexible packaging through our immersive "store format" exhibit.
- Visit with recyclers and others working to increase flexible packaging recycling in California.
