FPA Signs Coalition Letter Opposing New Mexico’s CS/HB 212

The undersigned organizations are opposed to CS/HB 212, legislation proposing to create a sweeping and complex new regulatory program that would regulate all commercial and consumer products, as well as any industrial manufacturing processes that may use perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS) substances. While we appreciate the changes that were made to the bill and included in the committee substitute, we remain strongly concerned with the underlying proposal, the scope of impacted products and industries and the uncertain regulatory climate it creates.
