FPA Signs Coalition Letter Requesting an Extension of the Comment Period for the Proposed Hazardous Substance Designation of PFOA and PFOS Under CERCLA
The undersigned organizations respectfully request an additional 60-day extension of the deadline for public comment on EPA’s proposed rule to designate PFOA and PFOS as hazardous substances under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). The same extension is requested with respect to the accompanying Economic Assessment of the Potential Costs and Other Impacts of the Proposed Rulemaking to Designate Perfluorooctanoic Acid and Perfluorooctanesulfonic Acid as Hazardous Substances.
