The webinar will discuss the polyolefin plastomer (POP) and elastomer (POE) market. Applications of these advanced polyolefins include flexible packaging, due to their toughness, hot tack and sealability at lower temperatures, and ability to downgauge, where strong, breathable, puncture-resistant films are used for higher speed form-fill-seal packaging.

POP/POE are also used as impact modifiers in automotive applications as well as in crack-resistant rigid packaging, high-impact consumer products like footwear, and hot melt adhesives.

POP/POEs are relatively new compared to other plastic materials having been commercialized in the 1990s and until recently, production had been limited to a few producers globally.
